Both software based and internet based are very useful and helpful ways than face to face classroom teaching. I def agree. Yes computer technology is a very beneficial tool when in comes to learning. We can give examples of online dictionaries, research sites, videos, web rings that allow us to use the computer and internet to the fullest. Also take online classes or conferences for example.Lets say you are studying in US and currently you are in Turkey and you have to attend an important conference at school at the same time. Well Ivy League schools such as Harvard, have an online stream of classes and conferences which you can watch from anywhere in the world (even live). This is really cool actually. As you say, you are becoming less dependent and you have more options to reach the information or knowledge.

Moreover, searching for materials on- line can be sometimes time- consuming and frustrating. It is sometimes difficult to read papers on a computer screen computer based teaching may lead to the different ways of teaching and learning from the traditional language classrooms.
